ZAGF Chapter 51

The professor stood in the door way and looked around for a while before turning his attention to Zim and Gaz who were still sitting on the coffee table. No one could tell if he was angry or not.

“Dib? Who are all these people?” the professor asked in a calm voice looking at Dib.

“Um…these are all the kids at school,” Dib said.

“Why are they here?” the professor asked.

“Oh would you look at the time, I must be going!” said one teen before running out the door.

Everyone else in the house followed the teen out the door. The professor watched as they left before closing the door and turning back to Dib.

“Were you throwing a party?” he asked.

Dib nodded since his throat had a knot in it and he couldn’t speak. The professor looked at Gaz.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?” he shouted at Gaz.

“The school blew up. I wanted to try and call you to come pick me up but you never answered your phone,” Gaz said.

The professor pointed to upstairs.

“Upstairs! All of you! I’ll check on Gaz’s story and see if she’s telling the truth! If she isn’t then all of you are in big trouble!” the professor half said half shouted.

“Why would I get in trouble if Gaz is lying!?” Dib asked with an angry face.

“Because you threw a party without my permission,” the professor said.

Dib cursed under his breath and headed for upstairs with everybody following. They went to Gaz’s room to see the device Tak had put on her door still there.

“What’s this?” Gaz asked pointing to the device.

“Just put your hand on it,” Tak said.

Gaz put her hand on the device and the door opened automatically.

“Sweet!” Gaz said before walking in and seeing the beer keg.

“Now what’s this?” Gaz asked.

“Beer keg,” chirped Pet who was standing beside Zim in the door way.

“I know what it is, I’m asking why it’s here,” Gaz said.

“Some jock brought it to the party. We hid it here so they didn’t drink any of the beer,” Tak said.

“You’d better get rid of it before my dad finds it,” Gaz said before putting it into her closet, “But for now we’ll just leave it here.”

Every one walked into the room. Zim sat down on Gaz’s bed and Pet sat on his lap. Tak and Tallulah sat next to him and Gaz closed the door. Dib stood and Bob sat next to Tallulah with his face a little red. Gaz opened the window and a few things flew into the room, knocking Gaz down onto the floor.

“I MISSED-ED YOU MASTAH AND MOMMY!” shouted a robotic voice.

“GIR!” Zim shouted happily.

Gir hugged Zim and Gaz as hard as he could. Theo and Mimi also hugged them as well.

“Where have you guys been!?” Theo asked.

“We’ve been away at school,” Gaz said with a smile.

Gir looked over to Bob.

“BOBBY! YOU IS HERE TOO!” Gir shouted glomping Bob and making him fall to the ground.

“BOBBY’S HERE!” shouted Theo and Mimi happily as they hugged Bob as well.

“Yes! Hello! Can’t breathe!” Bob said getting crushed by Theo, Gir, and Mimi.

“Oopsie! Sorry!” Gir, Theo, and Mimi said letting go of Bob.

Gir looked over to Pet who was still sitting in Zim’s lap watching everything happen.

“HI!” Gir said happily as he put his face in front of hers.

“Hello,” Pet said shyly and giving a small wave.

“What your name?” Gir asked.

“My name’s Pet,” she said.

“Dat a nice name!” Gir said with a smile.

Pet’s eyes lit up. She liked the name and the people she had told the name to sometimes thought it was a freaky name, although she didn’t care if people did think it was freaky. She thought it was a good name, even if she only had it for a short time. Gir sat down next to Pet and hugged her. She hugged Gir back and had a big smile on her face.

“So what’s the real story of why you guys are back?” Tak asked when everything got settled.

“What do you mean?” Gaz asked sitting on the bed with Theo in her lap.

“You say that the school blew up, that I believe, but you never told us how it blew up. So tell us the whole story, starting from Gaz’s first day of school,” Tak said having Mimi sit next to her.

“Two months of full detail? That’s going to take forever,” Zim said.

Pet nodded her head.

“How about just the main things?” Dib said with a smile.

“That sounds better,” Zim said.

“Will it include the reason she’s here?” Tallulah asked pointing to Pet.

Pet tried to make herself smaller in Zim’s lap.

“Oh I’m sorry! I didn’t mean that in a mean way I was just asking,” Tallulah said with a worried look.

“It’s ok,” she said in a small voice.

“No be sad Petty! I makes it all better!” Gir said hugging her.

“Petty? Great…Gir already has a new nickname for her,” Tak said rolling her eyes.

Zim smiled and pet Pet’s head. Pet smiled and hugged Zim and Gir.

“She’s just a small little child. It’s gonna be kinda awkward having another little sister,” Tak said.

“Uh…yea…” Zim said looking nervous.

Pet looked at Tak unblinkingly and had a face that showed no emotion. Tak looked into Pet’s eyes and felt uneasy. Her eyes were like bottomless pits. They looked and sunken that they made Tak feel so awkward she had to look away from Pet.

“Daddy...when are we gonna get to the stories?” Pet asked looking up at Zim.

“DADDY!?” everyone but Bob and Gaz shouted in shock.

Zim blushed and rubbed the back of his neck in nervousness.

“Yea…uh…she calls me dad and Gaz mom….” Zim said with a nervous smile.

“Why?” Tak asked.

“I’ve never had parents…I’ve lived on the streets all my life,” Pet said, “They’re the closest thing to parents I’ve ever had,” Pet said while looking down at her legs and twiddling her thumbs.

Tak and Tallulah’s eyes were wide with shock and Dib’s jaw was dropped. Gir had a smile on his face and Mimi and Theo had as wide eyes as Tak and Tallulah did. Pet shifted uncomfortably.

“Can we get to the stories now?” Pet asked looking back up at Zim.

Zim smiled.

“Sure,” he said.

Pet smiled and clapped her hands with joy.

“YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! STORY TIME!” Gir shouted happily.

“Let’s begin shall we?” Zim said still smiling.

Tallulah, Tak, Dib, and the S.I.R units nodded.
